The 23 year old, best known for playing the loveable Craig Tinker in the iconic soap and currently starring in The Games, transformed his life with fitness and lost 10 stone in just 18 months in 2020.
Colson said his fitness transformation came after “falling in love” with running during lockdown. The Craig Tinker actor filmed the epic transformation for his documentary, entitled Bored of Being the Fat Kid, after deciding to make major changes to his life.
Colson revealed in the documentary that he had received online abuse over his size when he first joined the soap as a child, and hoped that sharing his story would help others in a similar position.
Ryan Thomas is another star inspiring people to hit the gym with his latest fitness overhaul.
The 37 year old, who played Jason Grimshaw on the soap, is among the celebrities participating The Games and judging by his latest snap, he’s been putting in the training hours.
The former Corrie star, who was left red-faced on Tuesday’s episode after his yellow swimming trunks slipped off on live TV, showed his fitness results in photos on his Instagram page.
As he prepared to start competing in The Games, Ryan posted a shirtless snap of himself in the gym and wrote: “The wait is finally over & what a journey it’s been 12 weeks of intense training learning 9 different athletic sports with some of the best coaches in the country.”
It’s not the first time he’s undergone a major fitness regime – in 2016, he featured in promotional pics following another body transformation showing just how much his physique changed following 12 weeks of sweating it out in the gym..
Elle Mulvaney and Harriet Bibby
Harriet Bibby and Elle Mulvaney looked worlds away from their Corrie characters as they headed to the ITV soap’s Spring party earlier this year.
Elle, 19, who plays Amy Barlow on the ITV programme, shared a collection of snaps with her co-star Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer Spellman.
The duo showed off their fun side as Elle shared a TikTok video of herself and Harriet getting ready to Lizzo’s About Damn Time, which was captioned: “I don’t know how to make tiktoks, neither does harriet. Here we are,” followed by a heart emoji.
Elle also recently unveiled a fresh cut and balayage hair transformation.
Elle, who previously had long brunette locks, captioned the snaps with a series of emojis as her Corrie co-stars and 73K followers were quick to comment including Jack James Ryan, who plays Jacob Hay on the cobbles, who commented on the picture with: “Yeah, this bangs” with a fire emoji.
After leaving Corrie, Harry shared photos of his fitness progress to Instagram.
The actor, who played Seb Franklin in the ITV soap, revealed he had lost 12kg over 12 weeks after leaving the soap.
Harry joined in 2016, and left Corrie in May last year after Seb tragically died in a heartbreaking hate crime attack.
The builder died of his injuries in hospital after being attacked by a gang featuring Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan.
After leaving the Cobbles behind, Harry showed off his body transformation in October last year.
Alongside a series of shirtless snaps, the actor wrote: “Super proud of what I’ve achieved in the last few months.”
He added: “Biggest thanks to my mate Adrien Parry @weightwarriornutrition for all the support, advice and inspiration he’s given me over the last 12 weeks.”
Jennie McAlpine underwent and dropped three dress sizes in 2018 after taking a “common sense” approach to changing her lifestyle.
She auditioned for the role of Fiz Brown at the age of 17 and has played the popular role since 2001.
Following her weight loss, the 37 year old previously spoke to OK! about the trolling she’s experienced in the past, where she’s cruelly been called “fat”.
When asked if she’s suffered from hurtful trolls criticizing her online, she explained: “Yes I have. Things like, ‘You’re fat’ and, ‘You can’t act ‘. When I returned from maternity leave, people wrote, ‘ Why has she come back?’ It’s really not nice.
“Some of the comments you get on the online newspaper articles are horrid. Reading those is a road to somewhere you don’t want to be, so I stay away from them.”
Regarding her weight loss diet, she said: “I don’t go in for all the diet plans and worrying yourself silly over how much you weigh.
“Ice cream is bad, salad is good – it’s not rocket science.”
Michelle, 34, burst on to our screens on Coronation Street in 2008 as fresh-faced Tina McIntyre.
Since leaving the show in 2014, Michelle has also starred in numerous programs including drama Our Girl, Tina and Bobby, Ordinary Lies and comedy Plebs.
And over the years in the media spotlight, Michelle has adopted many different styles, leading some fans to insist she looks “totally different” from her first TV appearance.
But the brunette beauty, married to former TOWIE star Mark Wright, has always denied having any surgery.
Former Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon showed off a stunning red carpet makeover as she enjoyed a night out at the Pride of Manchester Awards in May 2022.
The 26 year old actress, who played Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, was pictured alongside her boyfriend, Ryan Ledson, a Preston North End footballer.
Dressed up to the nines, Lucy and Ryan attended the awards do, which was hosted by Kym Marsh and celebrated the achievements of amazing Mancunians.
Lucy wowed in a satin red dress, paired with an over the shoulder black bag and black heels. And blonde hair fell around her shoulder in glamorous Hollywood waves.
The actress’ look was very different to her character Bethany Platt’s former casual attire on the soap, which she played form 2015 to 2020.
