If there is anything we must take away from actor Julia Fox’s rise to superstardom, is that whether you wish to love her or hate her, she’ll continue to be too busy living her best life either way.
The Uncut Gems star has been non-stop in providing some of the most bizarre and creative fashion looks in recent times – as she even made a stroll to the grocery store transformed into her runway.
While she might have cut ties with fellow provocateur Kanye West, the self-proclaimed muse of Josh Safdie’s style game has proved that she’s here to stay.
Julia has long been working her way to create a name for herself – from creating her own fashion label, being a Playboy cover star to becoming a controversial art curator – her experimental streetwear aesthetic at present has captured everyone’s attention.
Below we revisit some of Julia’s most memorable (and daring) fashion risks so far.

Marc Jacobs Fashion Week After Party (2015)
By the year 2015, she had co-founded knitwear brand Franzia Fox which was worn by the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Kylie Jenner, became part of an extremely explicit photo book and shot nude on the pre-rebranded Playboy magazine.
Of course, she made an appearance in a Marc Jacobs event to celebrate the book release of Gloss: The Work of Chris von Wangenheim.
Wearing a shimmery bandeau top along with a matching skirt and Chanel belt across her bare midriff, Julia definitely aimed to dress to kill – which also happened to be the dress code of the night.
Kenzo AW22 show (2022)
Kanye and Julia’s denim look was undoubtedly reminiscent of the naughties when we saw Justin and Britney match in double denim at the VMAs in 2001.
Juli-ye certainly brought the Y2K nostalgia when they turned up to the Kenzo menswear AW22 show, headed by Nigo, sporting matching denim looks.
The eye-catcher of course was how Julia accessorised her fit with oversized Schiaparelli statement earrings and the debut of the now iconic Fox eye.
Schiaparelli Haute Couture show (2022)
Her star power during the course of the AW22 fashion season was ever growing, with her dramatic winged eyeliner becoming a celebrity of its own by this point.
While attending Daniel Roseberry’s Schiaparelli show with Richie Shazam and Ye, Julia wore a zipped leather dress along with the reappearance of the coned boobs – in, perhaps, a nod to Madonna – and golden earrings, as well as long thigh high leather boots.
Milan Fashion Week (2022)
After Kanye and Julia’s break-up, the actress was spotted wearing a sheer red balaclava, which accentuated her over-the-top eyeliner look, alongside a matching leather red top and super mini black leather skirt.
Julia added more pop to the outfit with suede red and black boots and an oversized black leather coat.
Out and about in Los Angeles, California (2022)
Spotted in this full-denim get-up in March, Julia gave an insight into hand making the look where she stated that she cut off the waist area of her jeans to make the bandeau.
She further added that the DIY co-ord made for a “really cute set” and was timely for her new phase played of fashion as she declared that “latex is kinda out”.
Julia also decided to pair the look with matching denim Alexander Wang boots.
DIY day look in LA (2022)
The actress also fashioned a matching set out of a plain white men’s tank to – which she let fans in through another IG tutorial.
Julia said the most fun part of turning out a tank top is having the flexibility to transform the vest into a bra or crop top, as she called the ensemble “super cheap, affordable, cute, chic”.
She of course couldn’t leave the house without an edgy pair of thigh high leather boots and elbow length oversized leather gloves to finish the bargain ensemble.
Vanity Fair Oscar Party (2022)
The memorable clawed-hand dress, which shouldn’t described as your average halterneck, was designed by Han Kjøbenhavn. Julia dressed up the look with leather gloves and a Charlie Le Mindu purse which Fox has said she believed to be covered in human hair.
Net-A-Porter and LaQuan Smith Dinner (2022)
Continuing to be the champion of the low rise movement, Julia wore LaQuan Smith’s fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection at the designer’s event with Net-A-Porter in March.
Paired with a red sequinned itty bitty bandeau top, slinky maxi skirt and her signature bold black eyeliner look, we wouldn’t expect any less from the Forbidden Fruits podcast host.
Day outing in Los Angeles (2022)
Here is another high-key look from Ms. Fox, who couldn’t help but go back to latex with her low rise trousers, styled with a flame shaped bralette top.
The most outlandish aspect of the outfit were her sky high platform heels, that would have definitely made Lady Gaga proud.
The Trainer wrap party in Venice, California (2022)
Yet again Julia gave us latex galore as she went monochrome in a red-hot long-sleeved crop top with a matching skirt and boots.
However, she did go for a subtle black winged eyeliner look, along with a small silver square handbag at the wrap party for her new film, The Trainer.
Food shopping in underwear (2022)
Julia was spotted food shopping in head-to-toe Alexander Wang, this time parading in a bra and underwear.
Also donning an oversized denim jacket and boots, she shared her reasoning for the unique look by writing on Instagram: “I just think if it’s socially acceptable at the beach, it should be the same everywhere.”
