Love Island’s most successful series – which season has the most couples still together?

Fans of Love Island will be excited to know that the eighth season of the hit show arrives back on screens in June 2022, with a host of new contestants ready to start new romances with each other.

Viewers will no doubt get their entertainment’s worth watching new pairings form — but the true testament of success for the show will lie in what happens afterwards, as fans wait to see which couples last past the finale.

Forming a romance on Love Island seems easy — what with the sunny location abroad and nice mansion getting contestants to get in the mood…but keeping a relationship up after the show is quite the feat.

There are couples from Love Island who have managed to do just that though — with more successful unions in some series than others — as OK! has discovered…

Winners of the last series Millie Court, 25, and Liam Reardon, 22, looked like they were match made when they first got together on Love Island in 2021 until the relationship hit a major rocky patch midway through.

After Liam entered the dreaded Casa Amor with the boys, he quickly turned his attention to female contestant Lilli Haynes in the villa, with whom he shared a kiss which Millie eventually saw, and the couple split.

By the end of the series though, the pair lovingly reunited and they bought a house in Essex together in the months afterwards.

Faye Winter and Teddy Soares (Series Seven)

While there was chemistry between Faye Winter and Teddy Soares on the 2021 Love Island series, viewers weren’t sure the couple would make it after a few fiery arguments on the show lead to thousands of Ofcom complaints.

The pair did however, and made the big move of investing in a home together after the series ended, last November.

Discussing their relationship, Faye told OK! in March that she would “give up fame” for Teddy as she said: “As long as our relationship is good, then nothing else matters. I want my relationship to be the first and foremost thing. I would give up jobs to make our relationship work.”

Molly Mae-Hague and Tommy Fury (Series Five)

Arguably, the most successful couple to have emerged out of Love Island, both professionally and romantically, has been Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

The pair instantly clicked when they met on the show in 2019 and have become social media ‘couple goals’ in the years since, after constantly showing their love for each other online to their combined over 10 million followers.

Following the show, Molly, 22, and Tommy, 23, have each established fruitful careers as an influencer and fashion director and boxer respectively and recently moved into their new lavish £4 million mansion in Cheshire which is surrounded by celebrity neighbors.

Olivia and Alex Bowen set the record as the first Love Island couple to tie the knot when they got married in 2018, two years after getting together on the second series of the show.

The couple moved into a large five-bedroom house afterwards, which they have recently been renovating as documented on the Bowen Home Instagram page and are welcoming the arrival of their first child together soon.

Olivia excitedly announced she was expecting at the beginning of the year as she posted a photo of her pregnancy test and a baby scan with the caption: “Happy New… Baby Bowen.”

Love Island viewers were seriously rooting for Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt when they started a romance on the show back in 2017, and all will be pleased to know that the couple are still together after marrying in September 2021.

Camilla, 32, and Jamie, 31, are also now parents to daughter Ella, whom they welcomed in October 2020, and are expecting their second child this year.

Announcing the happy news in a post shared last December, Camilla wrote: “We had an early gift this year and we couldn’t be more grateful…3 soon to be 4, June 2022.”

From the moment they laid eyes on each other, its was obvious Love Island contestants Jess Shears, 28, and Dom Lever, 31, had the hots for each other and they didn’t waste any time getting together on the 2017 series.

The pair were married a year later, before they welcomed their first child, son Presley, in October 2019.

In March, Jess broke the happy news on Instagram that her and husband Dom are expecting their second son as she wrote: “Another one to love. Baby boy no.2 due in June.”

The pair have shown themselves as a strong unit following on from Love Island as they are often pictured on family trips with their son Freddie, four, and daughter Delilah, two.

Describing her children last year, Cara, 31, told The Sun: “I’ve got two now, they are my world.”

Finn Tapp, 22, and Paige Turley, 24, were besotted with each other all the way through series six, winning the hearts of viewers along the way, so it wasn’t a surprise when they won’t show at the end.

The couple took the next step in their relationship as they moved in together during lockdown last summer in Manchester.

Finn and Paige hinted at wedding plans in 2020, and have continued to keep fans updated on their romance, sharing loved-up posts on Instagram.
